Windsurfing Photography from all angles - one of the most challenging types of photography

For a watersport photographer, windsurfing photography offers an incredibly wide spectrum of unusual perspectives. Extreme waves, aerials, loops, freestyle, slalom - for 20+ years I have been photographing windsurfing pros both in Hawaii and many other parts of the world.

Watershots, helicopter photography, extreme telephoto lenses, remote controlled cameras, shooting from boats - all of that in a very challenging and ever changing environment: This gallery gives you a taste of the skills needed to capture the action from various angles. Waterhousings, pole-cameras, mounted remote cameras, remote flashes, sun, splashing water - and the very sport itself - all offer many creative angles.

Catalogs for the leading board and sail manufacturers, advertisements, travel stories with athletes to various parts of the globe, editorial contents for special interest magazines worldwide, tests, calendars, books - I have been shooting for many facets of the industry.

Shooting windsurfing is what got me started in photography. I was an avid windsurfer myself and have spent a lot of time in the ocean around Maui/ Hawaii, so I know waves and have gained a very good understanding of water sports.

When you plan your next shoot, contact me with you requirements, and profit from my unique skill set and long-standing experience. Read what my clients have to say.
